That is a good point. They are getting around this by not calling it a regional landfill but an expansion of an existing landfill that will allow garbage from the service area to be brought in. The approval of the expansion can take place regardless of the solid waste plan if the county board approves it. However on appeal we will see if the Illinois Pollution Control Board agrees. It would be helpful if you were to write a letter about this to the Illinois Pollution Control Board. Thanks for your support with the efforts of everyone we can defeat this.
